Engineering receptors and gene circuits to control cell function

Coming to Stanford Genetics May 1, 2023

Synthetic Biology Across Scales of Complexity

Receptors and gene circuits are increasingly powerful research tools and therapeutic agents. The complexity of these systems increases rapidly as new components, larger circuits, and different cell types are added. Efficiently engineering synthetic genes that precisely control cell functions will require new approaches.

We aim to engineer new synthetic systems using experimental library screens and machine learning tools.
